together we thrive

Back in 1994, Thrive Dance Studio (originally North Otter Society of Performing Arts) was opened as an after school not for profit program at North Otter Elementary by founder, Cinda Herndl. Some of our veteran dancers will remember those carpeted floors and our big portable boombox well. Each year from that point on we grew in numbers and in love. We hopped around the small town in different facilities and finally found ourselves a long term home on 248th and Fraser hwy. We cleared out the old heritage church and made ourselves a little studio, 'Thrive'. We never imagined that Thrive would outgrow that space but here we are in a 5 studio state-of-the-art building. We feel very fortunate to have this space for our dancers  and chuckle to ourselves when newcomers ask about how we started and where it all began. What a journey it's been!

Today, Thrive Dance Studio Inc. is directed by sisters Natalie and Krystal Kohan alongside an amazing team of teachers and administrators. As we enter our 28th season, we look forward to the new and the familiar on this adventure. Together we thrive.
